Having been in the freelance field for quite some time, we have come to realise that the best type of client, are those which become closely involved with our business.
We have several clients who fall into this category, and we supply them with all of their copy writing requirements. This means we get to know how they work, and we gain a greater understanding of the results they expect and how we can best achieve them.
Over the last two months, we have gained another valuable client who has become one of our preferred customers. They are a web design company named Diverse Solutions who specialise in creating websites for the Real Estate industry in the United States.
We have provided them with website content on an ongoing basis for quite some time now, and hope to continue working closely with them in the coming future.
We have just completed a project for Poker Evolver, a poker tool which can analyse play style and manage bankroll at many on-line poker rooms. We were asked to produce some copy that would be used for the release of a new version of the software.
Although this was a fairly small project, it was different to the run of the mill SEO focused articles we are often asked to produce. Firstly due to the fact the project brief was so useful, quite often we are given nothing more than a sentence in an email as a project brief. The second reason was because the project made sense. OK that sounds odd right? Let me explain. usually we are asked to produce copy, with no idea how or where it will eventually be used. With this project, it was clear that it was going to be used as a build up to a software release. This actually makes work quite fun for us, as we feel like we are contributing something worthwhile.
Thanks to the Poker Evolver team for getting us involved, we look forward to working with you again in the future.
Today, here at Decurro Ltd, we set a new company record. During the course of the day, we have submitted over 150 separate pieces of work, to article repositories and press release syndication sites. This marks our most productive day by far, certainly a huge amount of effort was supplied by the team today.
Previously, our daily record had been just short of 100 submissions, so today drives right through our previous best and out the other side by an extra 50%. Thanks to the team for pulling out all stops and steaming on with todays workload so efficiently.
We have a monthly project with a the guys over at Kiora Medical Spas. We provide them with SEO focused articles and submit them to major article repositories. One of the things we like to do is check upon how often particular key phrases pull traffic.
We found it quite amusing that the key phrase “Brazilian waxing” has generated more SERP hits than any other. One must wonder why these people are using this particular search term, are they trying to find a salon that performs the service? Or are they looking for something else? After all, they do say that a high percentage of internet traffic is adult related, and that the internet is the worlds largest pornography resource.
We have recently completed a project which involved writing reviews for some on-line casinos. The client specified which ones, then supplied us with accounts, each of which had $50 of funds deposited, for our copywriting team to use as test money. They told us that if any of the writers won anything, they could keep it.
Much to our amazement, one of our team actually walked away from a casino with over $200 in the bank! He tells us that he discovered a Tomb Raider video slot, and being a big fan of Lara Croft decided to give it a spin (bad pun). Lara was nice enough to gift him with a jackpot! This netted him more cash than the actual review writing did! Good luck to him, and thanks to a great client for allowing him to keep it.
